Mijasvillasdirect.com is a personal website made by a group of owners to advertise their property online and facilitates the exchange of information between private property owners and potential renters. Some owners have asked us to facilitate comunication due to the language barrier and time constraints. All bookings are made between the renter and the owner.
 

1. How to Make a Reservation

To make a booking your party leader must read these conditions. The person who signs or 'submits' the booking form does so on behalf of all the members of the party and binds them jointly to these terms and conditions. When you ask us to confirm your booking we will reserve your chosen property and confirm your reservation. Payments are to be in  GBP (euro if agreed).

2. Initial Payment

At the time of your booking you will be asked to pay an initial deposit of 20% of the total cost of the property. This is made by PayPal subject to an additional 3.5% processing fee. This payment is your only commitment until your arrival at the villa.

3. Payment of Balance

The balance of the holiday cost must be paid to the owner on arrival. Please ensure that payment is made within that time otherwise we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled, in which case you will be liable to pay us the cancellation charges detailed below.

4. If You Cancel Your Booking

If you wish to cancel your booking you must do so by sending written confirmation. The person who signed/submitted the booking form must also sign the letter. In the event of a cancellation and to compensate for the expense of processing your booking and for any loss that may result from being unable to re-sell the villa, we charge the following cancellation fees:

Period before departure within which cancellation notice is received
Amount of cancellation fee (as % of holiday cost)
Before arrival

4a. Delays
If your arrival is delayed, there will not be any refund for unused nights.
The owners or their agents will not be held responsible for loss or delay, however caused beyond our control. I.e. strikes, riots, fire, war, threat of war, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, flight delays or cancellations, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, flood, transport problems of any kind, or any other event etc. (this list is neither exclusive or exhaustive).
 

5. Insurance Requirements

The Owner does not accept any liability for injury, damage or loss caused by any reason or for any claim made as a result of this booking and/or the subsequent holiday. The guest is responsible for taking out an adequate insurance policy(ies) top cover all risks. This is also applicable to people visiting the property as guests of the guest(s).

Holiday and travel Insurance, including cancellation cover, is essential for your own protection and we strongly recommend that you and all members of your party be suitably insured. Note insurance is invalid if you do not keep the property locked.

6. Party Size

At no time must any more persons occupy a property than stated on the booking form, except with prior written agreement. Property owners or their agents reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed.

7. Problems With Your Property

If you have a problem during your holiday, immediately inform the owner/local contact who will then endeavour to put things right. If you fail to do this the owner cannot accept responsibility, as they have not had the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem.

8. Occupancy

Your accommodation is available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. The owner needs this time to prepare the accommodation properly for incoming guests. However if circumstances permit these times may be varied, but this must be pre-arranged.

9. Breakages & Damages

A 100,00 Euro (returnable) deposit is payable on arrival to cover small breakages, repairs, or if the villa is left
in an extremely unclean state!
9a.
The villas with games rooms/snooker tables etc, will be asked for a 50,00 Euro (returnable) deposit to cover any missing balls or cues. If further damage is done to the table then further payment may be necessary.
 

10. Property Standards

Inevitably, items break or require maintenance, therefore please be aware that you may encounter maintenance staff and gardeners during your stay. Please note that tiled surfaces can become very slippery when wet, take extra care if your feet are wet after using the pool. Please also remember that these are our homes - please leave the villa in a reasonably clean and tidy condition. We reserve the right to charge for extra cleaning if necessary.

11. On Arrival

Immediately upon arrival at your holiday home please familiarise yourself with the layout of the property and identify any potential hazards e.g. unexpected steps, slippery surfaces etc. Please also read the safety precaution information contained within the welcome book.

12. Noise

Some of the properties are in rural locations, as such there maybe farmyard noises and dogs in the vicinity. Roadworks and/or building work in close proximity to our properties may occur without any prior warning, this is understandably beyond our control ... we will though endeavour to inform you should we become aware of any such works.

13. Safes

In those properties that provide a safe for guest use we cannot accept responsibility for any loss under any circumstances.

14. Pets

Pets are not permitted..

15. Included in the Cost

Welcome pack

All linen changed weekly

Towels but not pool towels (unless otherwise stated)

Pool and garden maintenance
